The agriturismo is located on a hill approximately 8 km away from the southern bank of Lake Trasimeno and offers a wonderful view on the lake and the surrounding mountains. The guests live in a former monastery ("Il Convento"). Its holiday flats with their luxurious comfort in a quiet and hospitable atmosphere meet the highest demands. The elegant rooms are furnished with selected antiquities and period furniture which reflect the atmosphere of old country houses.

The 16th century monastery belongs to the order of the Minorites and was one of the most important religious centres in the area of Lake Trasimeno. Today, the monastery is under monumental protection and surrounded by untouched nature. It consists of the former monastery church, the former living quarters and sleeping quarters and a part of the building which housed the former refectory. Inside, there is a picturesque cloistered courtyard with an ancient well. The renovation of the entire monastery was completed by the end of the summer of 2004. Now it has 7 luxurious holiday flats for 2 to 6 people (some of which have an elevator), premises for congresses and wedding ceremonies, spacious parking places, a 126 square metres large swimming pool with hydromassage, a barbecue grill and a park where you can follow in the tracks of the monks. A further small house for 6 people is located 50 metres above the monastery.
All flats have independent heating, satellite TV and a completely equipped kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator and electrical baking oven. A hair drier is available in the bathroom. The flats on the first floor and the second floor are accessible via a staircase and via an elevator.
The apartment "Melone" is suited for 4 people. This charming flat is located on the second floor and has a bedroom with double beds, a kitchen living and a bathroom with shower.
The apartment "Rosario" is suited for 2 people. This small, charming and comfortable apartment is located on the second floor and is furnished with love to detail. It has a bedroom with double bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower.
The bright apartment "Sole" with its warm vivid colours is suited for 4 people. It is located on the second floor which offers a wonderful panorama view on Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding woods. Its tasteful furniture in proper style and its lovely details make the apartment "Sole" a comfortable treasure. 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed each, a living room with kitchenette and a bathroom with shower are available.
The apartment "Celestino" is a bright and sunny flat for 2 to 4 people and has 1 bedroom with double bed, a large living room with sofa bed (which can be extended into a double bed), a kitchenette and 2 bathrooms. It is located on the first floor of the monastery which offers a wonderful view on Lake Trasimeno. The chestnut floors perfectly match the beamed ceilings, the antique furniture and the selected details. A blue-grey colouring prevails.
The apartment "Martino" for 4 people is located on the first floor. This flat is simply furnished but with love to detail and Umbrian tapestries on the walls. It has 2 bedrooms with double bed, a kitchen living and a bathroom with shower.
The apartment "Fra Ginepro" for 6 people is located on the first floor of the monastery. It is accessible via an independent entry and via an elevator. This flat stretches over 2 floors connected by an antique wooden staircase. This bright and sunny holiday flat offers a beautiful view on the surrounding wood and the swimming pool. It has 2 rooms with 1 double bed each, 1 room with 2 single beds, a large kitchen, a living room and 2 bathrooms and is ideal for large families. This flat can also be combined with the apartment "Martino" to create accommodation space for up to 10 people.
The apartment "Fra Giocondo" for 2 to 4 people is furnished with selected antiquities and period furniture and has vaults and beamed ceilings. It is located on the ground floor of the monastery, has an independent entry, sea view and is suited for families with children and older people. The rooms are elegantly furnished and the bathroom offers all comfort. This flat has 1 bedroom with double bed, a living room with kitchenette and sofa bed (which can be extended into a double bed) and a bathroom with shower.
The holiday flat "Casa Cappucino" for 6 people is located approximately 50 metres above the monastery. From the living room with the large window doors and the furnished veranda in front of the living room, the view reaches from the plain up to the northern bank of Lake Trasimeno. To the back side of the house, the view reaches to the chestnut woods of Monte Petrarvella. Casa Cappucino is tastefully furnished with much love; the antique furniture is familiy owned. The small house has 2 bedrooms, a living room with small fireplace and double sofa bed, a kitchen and a bathroom with shower.
The monastery belongs to a 210 hectares large agriturismo specialised in high quality products (wine, olive oil, crop, fruit etc.). The products of the agriturismo are available to the guests. Pets are not allowed.

The complex of buildings is located below Monte Petrarvella, approximately 1,5 km away from the municipality of Paciano and Panicale, amidst an approximately 20 hectares large wooded estate.
Paciano is located amidst flourishing vegetation, on the foothills of Monte Petrarvella 391 metres above sea level. The village is surrounded by the green hills of Umbria and offers a view on Lake Trasimeno, which is approximately 6 km away. Even today, Paciano has a fully intact Medieval structure with a 500 metres long city wall, 7 towers, 3 city gates and houses laid out in a grid pattern along the three parallel streets crossed by the typical side streets. Not far from the town, you can not only see Lake Trasimeno but also the lakes of Chiusi and Montepulciano and part of the Val di Chiana. Before passing the city walls, you encounter the 10th century Church of San Sebastiano; here, the rests of a fresco are kept which represents Saint Sebastian. Following the former Via Aureliana, you reach the Romanic Church of Santa Maria Peretula (which today is called "Church of Santa Maria Assunta") with paintings from Guglielmo Ascanio. The Porta Fiorentina leads to the town centre. Following the Via Marconi, you reach the Palazzo Baldeschi, which is the site of the Natural Science Museum. On the market place, there is the seat of the Confraternita del S.S. Sacramento ("Brotherhood of the Saint Sacrament"). Here, two 15th century plates and a fresco painted in 1452 are kept. Following the street downwards, you reach the Church of San Giuseppe, the first church inside the city walls (therefore, it is also called "La Chiesa Dentro" - "The Inner Church"); here, the procession banner Gonfalone del Bonfigli is kept, which is attributed to the artist Fiorenzo di Lorenzo. The Church of San Carlo Borromeo is located just around the corner. Opposite the Porta Rastrella, there is the Palazzo Cennini, a 17th century palace with impressing archways, beautiful gardens and artfully decorated halls. A further noteworthy church is the Church of Madonna della Stella built in 1562 with frescos of Silla Piccinino. When arriving at the Porta Perugina, you discover a beautiful portal (which is also known as "Portale della Madonnuccia") built in 1770. Not far away, there is the majestic Torre di Orlando, the only relic of the old and important castles of Perugia. Next to the tower, there is the Monastery of San Antonio built in 1490 by the Franciscans. Further below, there is the Church of San Salvatore, also known as the "Church of Ceraseto".
Lake Trasimeno (15 km away), Castiglione del Lago, Chiusi, Città della Pieve, Perugia (35 km away), Orvieto (65 km away) and Assisi (80 km away) are worthwhile destinations in the surrounding areas.
The next shopping possibilities and restaurants can be found in Paciano or Panicale, which are approximately 1 km away. Tennis courts can be found in Paciano, a golf course is approximately 8 km away. |  |
