In this area of Rome you can explore the Renaissance and the Baroque era on one of the most popular squares of Rome: the Piazza Navona. This square is built directly on the antique Domitian's Stadium whose shape has been preserved. The buildings surrounding the Piazza Navona were built on the grandstands which can be recognized by the Piazza di Tor Sanguigna.
Discover the three typical fountains of the Piazza Navona: in the centre of the Piazza there is the "Fountain of the Four Rivers" ("Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi") marking the square with its obelisk. The second fountain, the "Fontana del Moro", features the statue of a Moor fighting with a dolphin. The third fountain, the "Fontana del Nettuno", is dedicated to Neptune. |  |
