The Lido Island, known as "The golden island of Venice", is a 12 km long headland separating the Adriatic Sea from the lagoon. Due to this favorable geographic location it is an ideal place to stay all year long and especially from March until October. Built at the beginning of 1900, elegant villas border the avenues planted with trees. Lido Island with its 12 km long beach is at present the most quiet and elegant place at the Adriatic Coast. Here, the Venetians also practice different sports such as tennis, swimming or archery. The next beach is approximately 400 metres away: public and private beaches where you can rent sunloungers and sunshades. The boat pier is a 10 minutes walk away and can be reached by bus within 2 minutes. |  |
