The small holiday home offers a romantic, one-story hideaway for 2 people and 1 child. It is located on the agriturismo in the open valley of Vivo d'Orcia next to the Romanic chapel of the hamlet with 3 more holiday homes and a communal pool.

You can enter the charming house via the large glass doors on the ground floor. Here you can stay, cook and dine comfortably. The furnishing includes a cosy sofa, a table and a fitted kitchen framed by the attractive travertine stone from the region.
On the first floor there is the bedroom with bathroom. From here, a further French door leads to a small balcony.
A high chair and a child´s bed can be provided on demand.
On the ground floor there is 1 room comprising a kitchen area, a living area and a dining area.
On the first floore there are 1 double room with balcony and 1 bathroom including bath tub.
Some stairs lead to the agriturismo´s large fruit orchard. Here, tables and chairs are available for outdoor meals.
The 60 square metres large communal pool (open from the beginning of June to the end of September) for this house and 3 more holiday homes is only a few minutes walk away from the house.
Before your arrival, you can order a food parcel or a dinner.

The village of Vivo d'Orcia is located 900 metres high in the lovely Val d’Orcia, a wide open valley, only 60 km south of Siena. Both Florence and Rome are a 2 hours drive away from Il Vivo d’Orcia, Siena is a 1,5 hours drive away from Il Vivo d’Orcia. The sea near Grosseto can be reached within 1 hour. Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano and Sant’Antimo can be reached within 30 minutes. The charming Medieval village of Abbadia San Salvatore is only 6 km away from Il Vivo d’Orcia and has a Romanic church really worth visiting.
Mediterranean climatic influences and the considerable altitude create climatically favourable conditions which promote an extraordinary richness of flora and fauna.
The agriturismo with castle and Romanic chapel dates back to the 11th century. The hermitage developed into a centre of high class agriculture with viticulture and olive oil mill. In 1534, the agriturismo was acquired by Cardinal Marcello Cervini, the later pope Marcellus II. It remained in possession of the family ever since. Here, the family usually passes the summer months.
In the gardens in front of the houses huge chestnut trees give shade.
The hot springs in Tuscany such as Saturnia, Bagno San Phillipo und Bagno Vignoni are world famous and can be quickly reached from the Agriturismo Vivo d'Orcia.
Many good shopping possibilities can be found in Vivo d'Orcia.
The groceries are open from 8 o´clock A.M. to 1 o´clock P.M. and from 5 o´clock P.M. to 8 o´clock P.M. and closed on Wednesdays, in the afternoons and on Sundays.
The supermarket is located next to the bar. It is open all days from 8 o´clock A.M. to 1 o´clock P.M. and from 5 o´clock P.M. to 8 o´clock P.M. and closed on Wednesday afternoons and on Sundays.
A butcher´s shop and a greengrocer can also be found in the village.
In August, shops are also open on Sundays in Abbadia San Salvatore.
There are weekly markets in all villages and cities. Vivo d’Orcia has its market on Sundays. In Abbadia San Salvatore, market takes place every second and fourth Thursday of the month. Chiusi has its market on Tuesdays and Cetona has its market on Sundays. In Montepulciano, market takes place on Thursdays. |  |
